Blue Horse - Louisville

Excellent dining experience with excellent service and ambiance.

The food was fantastic and the service was amazing! We didn't even feel the need to go outside of the hotel for dinner, as there was excellent food available downstairs. They even offer a buffet! I enjoyed everything I ate here and my server was great. I just wish I had remembered his name!

We sat on the bar side which had cozy booths and upright tables. We ordered the Buffalo wings in the traditional style and they were nice and meaty, well cooked, and had just the right amount of sauce. Despite being busy with a sudden rush of customers, the bartender handled our drink and food orders efficiently. I only visit this place about once a year, but I always enjoy looking forward to it.

I stopped by for lunch during the MATS 2022 exposition. The food was great - I had a Caesar salad and a few of my coworkers ordered the salmon and said it was cooked perfectly. Another coworker had the club sandwich.

The Blue Horse Restaurant was closed, but the Lounge was open and serving the restaurant's menu. The restaurant is not open on night the hotel has low occurrence rate, but the Lounge is open serving food. The serve was outstanding. The menu is not large but has a good selection. The food is excellent. The Derby Pie for dessert was outstanding. The online menu is not the menu being used. The Crown Plaza is the only hotel in the group of hotels that has a restaurant. Recommended.
