Today was my mother and I first time here. How we missed this jewel is beyond me. The food was so good. I had the shrimp with onion rings. Both were fresh and so good. Sitting outside with the fans made the breeze even better. My mother had the Salmon Crockett and she said it was moist and very good!!! ?? Parking: If it's busy I can see an issue but today was absolutely no problem and several empty spots View all feedback.
What Sterling P doesn't like about Fishery:
I've probably been to The Fishery 50 times. In summery Used to be good food reasonably priced Based on my most recent visit food is okay, prices have increased substantially And now they have one of stupid credit card machines that guilt you into leaving a tip for carry out service Probably my last visit View all feedback.
The pork chops are amazing The fries are really good And I had an excellent customer service experience By a very nice young lady She was maybe Samoan And very sweet
Great local fish restaurant with long ties to the Louisville area.
So this was my FIRST AND LAST time at this establishment. I was greeted by a woman at the windown when you walk in, and she was pleasant. She took my order of the Famous fish sandwich and an order of onion rings. I was unpleasantly surprised at the place having used cutlery on the floor next to the table I sat at, and then within maybe 45 seconds, somehow my sandwich and rings were ready. I get up and get my food, which looked like yesterday 's fish. It was crunchy and bland. The onion rings were not even cooked through! I took a bite of my sandwich and immediately regretted it. This was disgusting. I have had better food at my local Circle K. I have NO idea how this place is winning awards. I will be telling everyone I know how terrible this place is.
Used to live in St. Matthews 20+ years ago and remembered the Fishery as a good fish sandwich. Returned today and I gotta say I 'll never return. I got the famous cod sandwich and potato wedges $19) I can honestly say that the marathon gas station by my house has a better fish sandwich and potato wedges. The fish was of mediocre quality and was burnt on the edges and when I picked it up to.put it.om the bun oil ran out of it all over my lap. The wedges were not cooked all the way and tasted freezer burnt. Would 've been better off spending $12 at the gas station deli and would 've gotten better food.
