Restaurant des Guifettes - Luçon

Found this little treasure on yelp as we were driving on our way to vacation.

The restaurant has a smoking and non-smoking section still reeking of cigarette smoke.

I really used to like the place but over the years, it has really sagged in a number of areas.

Nice restaurant on the waterfront in the middle of a holiday village with a pool possibility residence. good quality meals.

I regret having discovered this place too late and I am quite surprised by some of the few reviews published on this restaurant. Indeed, this restaurant is located at the end of the guifettes area on the edge of a small leisure lake with tents and caravans campsite, swimming pool and seasonal rental of small hard accommodations (which I recommend because prices very interesting for a good quality). concerning the restaurant by itself, I went there 3 or 4 times in recent years and I have never been disappointed, neither by the quality nor by the prices that are on the contrary very reasonable. So understand us well, it is not a gastronomic restaurant, the locals and the kitchen are quite simple .... but despite all, the dishes and ingredients are of quality, fresh and in their vast majority undoubtedly cooked by a real cook!the atmosphere is simple, friendly and warm and we can hear there all kinds of people: many retired, families with young children, people working on a ludicrous meal and coming to take them in conclusion = a good little restaurant without chichis but with excellent cuisine, with a very honest value for money and that never disappointed me.
