Cette auberge landaise était excellente avec l'ancien propriétaire nous y allions très souvent.Nous y avons été avec ce nouveau propriétaire.C'était à vrai dire vraiment horrible.Ce n'es pas un chef.Ce n'es plus une auberge landaise! Quel perte View all feedback.
We were really disappointed by a meal at this restaurant. The Salade Landaise was far too rich with a full plate if foe gras and numerous duck livers. The chips with the steak were inedible, greasy and limp.
We each had the 4-course €30 menu, primarily for the main courses, but also to try some of the starters, such as snails and foie gras. We really enjoyed our meals - the salade oceane (1st course) was very good, and the snails (2nd course) weren't bad too! We also enjoyed the duck heart skewers (still 2nd course). The 3rd course (meat eg steak, duck etc + chips/green beans) was good too - meat, chips and sauces were all really nice. The portion sizes were very generous - we reckon that you'd pay about £20 for a steak and chips of that size and quality in the UK. A really nice atmosphere and good, local food. Recommended!
We have had many meals here over the years and today's lunch was as good as ever. The food is excellent value and their traditional dishes like foie gras, and venison stew are hard to beat. The frites (french fries) are the best I’ve had anywhere. (fried in duck fat?). The wine is very reasonable. We had a bottle of very good local ‘house red’ costing 9.50 (Euros). Where can you get a bottle of wine in a restaurant for less than £8? The aperitifs and coffees were similarly inexpensive. The décor is simple but absolutely appropriate for the style of food. Service is friendly and very good.
Menus entre 23€ et 33€. Cuisine 100% locale. Les portions sont comme attendues. Petite déception sur la salade de gésiers. Super confit de palombe. C'est bien sans être exceptionnel.
