Chez Song - Lyon

My friend who lives in Lyon had cravings for chinese food so we came here supposing one of the better places for chinese food.The place is nice albeit a little stuffy. Food wise it was ok only as i come from singapore with nice chinese restaurants. The selections are ok not too pricey! Attached some pics for the meal. Think taste is more tone down to westerner's liking.

As a Chinese from Beijing, I always get disappointed (sometimes angry) when visiting Chinese restaurants in Europe. Living in Lyon 4 years, have visited most Chinese restaurants here, i have to say they have the best gong bao chicken, spicy beef, and even chao ping! Very good cooking, good taste, close to original taste in China. I will go back for sure! highly recommend if you like real Chinese food.

Beware of the rude manager who was working on the night of our visit to Chez Song. He publicly humiliated one of the servers after an apparent mix-up with a customer's meal order. The tense atmosphere and nasty experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. Fine dining it ain't.

This place is great , a little expensive but you know that when you go there, so what , you pay the price for eating authentic Chinese food Really good food. Must try!
