Contribute FeedbackBy far the worst Indian I have ever tasted. Me and my girlfriend had it as our last meal in Madrid and regret it! The Indian in lavepies plaza is one of the best I have tasted it's not the best looking restaurant but it...shows not to judge a book by the cover.
Came here as it looked the busiest. The service was quite slow at first but then speeded up a bit. The taste of the food was fine, but if you like it a bit spicier, you'll have to specify. The food was a little bit...too colourful for me, indicating that they had used food dye, which I am not a fan of at all, but believe it or not, they use a lot less of it than the neighbouring restaurants. I would go back, but I would ask them to add more spices and hold back on the food colouring!
This is without a doubt one of the best Indian restaurants in Lavapies and I have tried them all! Its good authentic Indian food with a great service. Everything that you would hope to see on the menu appears and food is a bit more...spicey than some of the Indians in Madrid which can often lack spice as its not so much to the Spanish taste. This and its names sake in Chueca (Taj Majal also but different owners) are my 2 favourite Indians in Madrid. This restaurant does a very good value menu del dia at lunch time worth checking out! The staff are very friendly and attentive and you will enjoy a really good Indian meal right in the centre of Madrid!
We've never tasted Hindu food, so we let ourselves be advised by the waiter and all he got us was very good, I have lactose intolerance and I'm accused of what he could eat, so he has to prove new things.
All the food was very rich. the service is also much better than in nearby restaurants and also quite cheap in price.
