Rockpool Seafood Cafe - Magnetic Island

Went in to order some take aways and the lady serving us mumbled and couldn't even engage in eye contact. Not very helpful when asking for some clarification on some menu items, and I'm sorry, but what fish and chips shop does not offer calamari on its own. I had to buy a box of calamari and chips for $18.90 instead of only wanting a few pieces with chips. Asking for takeaway cutlery to eat my absolutely disgusting greek salad was like I was asking her to donate a kindey. The calamari and chips were extremely oily.We will never return here and should have actually listened to the majority of the reviews in the first place and stayed away initially.

How could fish n chips be so hard. We had a mumbling junior waitress who struggled with all 4 take away orders. The takeaway prices were fairly inflated .Dont bother with the salt n pepper calamari they were soggy tastless rings .Go to Coles freezer dept they sell better ones. My fish n chips couldnt be eaten by the large amount of Bones!! Oh and dont you expect seasoning on chips??. This was the takaway section would hate to think what could happen in the restaurant section.

Called in during our daily walk of the strand for coffee and raisin toast and were so please with the friendly service of the staff. Quality of the coffee and toast,first class

Went there on the weekend, service was awesome. We were greeted with friendly staff with smiles on their faces. Our server was lovely and was very accommodating with our order. Had a lovely view while eating our breakfast. We'll definitely be coming back. Love the specials...keep them going!

As a local it amuses me to see reviews for Rockpool seafood cafe as recent as this year (2017) as it no longer exists! The location had become a a la carte restaurant called Fish Inn nearly 4 years ago or longer and I found the food pretty decent. They do take-aways but it is the same priced a la carte meal wrapped up to go. Apparently plenty of people are happy to get their fish n chips that way. Perhaps some of the patrons that wrote reviews for Rockpool seafood cafe visited the take-away in a parallel universe? Although I do hear that ghost calamari is chewy as it is haunted
