What Judy Elliot doesn't like about The Biscuit Eater Cafe Books:
We booked reservations for Mother’s Day over a month ago to take my 93 year old Mother. We had told her all about it and she was excited to be going. One week before, I get a text saying they are now closed for a private function so would we like to go on Saturday! So disappointed; such poor service. Once one of our favourite spots, we will not go back. I have never wrote a negative review before but this was beyond... View all feedback.
I had heard great things about the high tea at The Biscuit Eater Cafe and Books. If I lived in Mahone Bay, I would definitely be a regular there. It's a magical experience. The staff are charming, and the food is delicious and made with fresh ingredients. No words or pictures can truly capture its beauty.
This cozy little restaurant in NS was always a favorite spot for a special treat. Unfortunately, the owners have had to make some changes, and now it will be pickup-only for sandwiches and pastries. It used to be the perfect place for an indulgent afternoon tea or a special celebration. The staff was wonderful, and the atmosphere was always welcoming. They also sold local products and vintage items. It will be sad to see them go as a restaurant, but there are many possibilities for the antique house if they decide to sell. We will always cherish our memories of this special place.
This charming cafe is known for its popular afternoon tea, but my wife and I decided to stop by to pick up some treats on our way to explore Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. We tried the blueberry tart (with a delicious buttery crust and rich blueberry compote), lemon tart (equally delicious), dark chocolate carmelita (a chewy oat bar with a hint of dark chocolate), and a super soft cookie. While the prices were high, it was clear that Biscuit Eater takes pride in the quality of their products. The owner mentioned they may be closing soon, so if you're in the area, be sure to visit before they do - it's a definite treat!

Came in to work on my laptop with my husband and just grab a coffee. It seemed like more of a sit down high tea breakfast place so we politely asked if there was room for us to sit down to work. We were sent in the direction of lovely green couches! Americano was delicious. What was even more impressive is the decor, attention to detail but also the amazing and genuine customer service the gentleman working at the front was super knowledgeable, prompt, kind! Highly recommend… also a few delicious looking gluten free treats for celiacs gluten free folks
