we have dinner 2 nights, 2 different menus at the unique price of 35 euros. a real treat quality price compared to everything that is practiced around the corner. a little expensive wine map and also the possibility to go to the gastronomic restaurant in a very beautiful place. View all feedback.
What Tamia Pagac doesn't like about Les Restaurants du Moulin de Vernegues:
hotel guests we do not understand for a 4-star breakfast of average quality (hams sausage etc. kind metro first price ...) non-crusting bread and not cooked correctly, cook eggs to the hull that should not exceed 90 degrees...etc !! meals to the pool salad bag ( while the markets frogs in the region) just vinegar balsamic.... on a salad without taste.Four-fun and without greedy pleasure, why not propose good grilled... First, let me say that we live part time in France so are used to long French meals. We were seated at Given menus and wine list straight away. Ordered a carafe of tap water, one aperitif, a bottle of wine and our starters.. mains. A bottle of Evian arrived straight away, not a carafe of tap water. The aperitif for my wife arrived after minutes and my wine after hour and minutes. After hour minutes we asked where our starters were. The staff had no idea. Starters arrived after hour minutes. Mozzarella dish was novel, but salmon tartare was under-seasoned and lacked flavour. Mains came on cold plates. Slow cooked Camargue bull was tasty, but supreme of chicken with risotto was dried out. Puddings adequate, nothing special. Problem is too many waiting staff with no clear leader and direction. Staff seemed disinterested. For a hotel, they need to make some improvements.
Nicolas Vie, the chef of the restaurant did a really great job and we had a great dining experience. Very good price for the offered dinner. We could choose from starters, mains and deserts. simply great!
Very fancy so not ideal fro children (or fussy children) but very nice otherwise and a nice atmosphere.
The Moulin de Vernegues is a historic hostelry at Pont Royal, surrounded by lush trees, Roman ruins and a Golf Course. There are two restaurants in the main house. The Bistro and the Gastronomic Terrace. We chose the Restaurant La Table du Moulin and enjoyed...excellent wines with Duck Foie Gras and Royal French Pigeon. Try the Chocolat Michel Cluizel for dessert. The service was smilingly excellent and we lingered over our drinks for far too long under a tanzanite sky, and not wanting to bring the evening to an end. This was our fourth visit.
