Contribute FeedbackNestled within the hotel, this restaurant presents a mixed bag of dining experiences. While some patrons appreciate the friendly service and delightful dishes—like the standout bread and butter pudding—others express frustration over long waits and deceptive menu selections. The recent renovation has introduced a tempting three-course menu, showcasing quality ingredients that many found worthwhile, especially with value-adding discount cards. However, inconsistencies in service and meal sizes lead to further remarks about overpriced offerings. Overall, it’s a place of potential that may deliver delicious moments but could greatly benefit from improved communication and service efficiency.
No staff to serve patrons so therefor I'm not leave a nice or helpful review but would review my staffing
This is a friendly restaurant in the hotel with a wide variety of choices. The salmon was delicious as was the pudding. The staff were attentive, friendly and looked after you. There is a pleasant atmosphere and a good place to eat would certainly recommended it.
Poor choice on menu and breakfast was put in the bin. The eggs were revolting and tainted everything else on the plate. Skip is my advise.
The service was great, including the manager being the only one to take food orders for allergen concerns. The food selection options for various allergen issues needs to be considered more. The menu was standard for a Premier Inn but it was not very wide in our situation dairy free, egg free. So may be they need to look into making the menu to be adaptable or cater for different allergen groups. We paid £27 for an entree and two mains including a voluntary tip as a service charge was not included in the bill.
Visited for dinner on Sunday 5th November. As it was bitterly cold outside we decided to eat at the hotel. When we arrived at the restaurant we had to wait to be seated, no staff anywhere. There was also a delay in taking our drinks and meal order as well as bring the drinks to our table. We could see them sitting on the bar waiting for somebody to bring them to our table. Our main meal was very small for the price and as we were still hungry ordered a desert which was also small and overpriced for what you got. Then trying to get the bill to pay, you guessed it a further delay. And no we didn't leave a tip, why would you when the service was appalling.
