Chose this restaurant for a large family birthday party, and very pleased we did. They catered for children's tastes as well as an extensive option of curries and Indian dishes, with a very affordable luncheon menu. They went out of their way to please and please they did. For a small tete a tete the boardwalk setting is perfect, with relaxing views and atmosphere, but we chose the more intimate interior for the larg... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Golden Tandoori Indian Restaurant:
Arrogant staff I can put with. The slow service I also put with, but the rubbish they serve as curries and in such small portions for the price is robbery. Amateur operators who should not be in business. Loved Shisha Indian Restaurant on the other side of the Marina but that has been closed and sold unfortunately and you would think this Golden Tandoori place would now be busier.Obviously not: because their food is... We ordered takeout for the family on a chilly Autumn evening because who wants to cook when the food is this delicious? This restaurant is always a popular choice for us.
I can tolerate arrogant staff and slow service, but the quality and portion sizes of the curries at Golden Tandoori are unacceptable for the price. The operators seem inexperienced and should not be in business. I used to enjoy Shisha Indian Restaurant on the other side of the Marina, but it has unfortunately closed. I had hoped Golden Tandoori would be a suitable replacement, but their lukewarm bowls of food are disappointing. For better Indian curries in Mandurah, I recommend looking elsewhere.
I visited this restaurant for the second time with my daughter. The first time I was there, I loved it. However, I was very disappointed with this visit. I had bought a voucher which was good value. I ordered the vegetarian platter for starters, but found it to be of average quality. My usual favorite, the paneer, had a weird taste. After waiting for a long time for our mains, I was mildly irritated to see another table who arrived after us getting their food before us. The food sat on their table for a while, and although I am not sure if they sampled it, the waitress then rushed out and attempted to give it to us. I refused and told her that I wanted fresh food for us. I then spoke to the head waitress and made it clear that I did not want the potentially contaminated food to be served to us. Surprisingly, five minutes later, we were served with lukewarm food, except for the naan, which was hot. I suspect it was the same food from the other table. The saffron rice looked like grated carrot and was flavorless. The saag paneer was tasty but lukewarm. The staff were pleasant, but the whole experience has completely turned me off from returning to this restaurant.
Went there Saturday night for a meal with the family,7 of us, restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly and courteous. The meal portions look small but are deceptive and taste incredible. I like my curries hot, I found even the hottest on the menu mild will see if they can beef it up next time. Price wise very reasonable and will certainly be going back.
We ate there on a Sunday Night and the meals were suprisingly good. We have walked past this restaurant on many occasions with hardly anyone in there but we decided to try it and must say we were suitably impressed with the food. Will definately go there again. Prices are pretty good, they have new owners and would recommend this restaurant for the setting and the food served. Well done and thanks.
