La Locanda - Mannheim

Am Naherholungsgebiet Käfertaler Wald liegt da italienische Restaurant sehr malerisch. Der Außenbereich ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Leckere Pizza und Pasta. Wenn nicht viel los ist ist die Bedienung sehr schnell. Typisch italienische Karte, nichts Ausgefallenes.

Magnificent Biergarten the Italian guest house in the heart of the Käfertal Forest. Friendly service and traditional good cuisine. In summer of course wonderfully shaded cookies. If you do not know, you have many hiking trails here in all directions.

Great food, great wine and great atmosphere. great atmosphere both inside and outside. near the park it was a great place to take the dog and enjoy a walk and a beer.

This establishment is about a 30 minute walk from the back gate of Ben Franklin Village, Sullivan Barracks Mannheim. The route took us past an animal preserve of some sort where we caught sight of deer, bison, and boar. Our dogs were thrilled to be...along for the hike that also took us past a fantastic gazebo that serves as a trail crossroads with beautiful woodwork. Our daughters were beside themselves after we allowed them to stop at the extensive playground complex adjacent the gazebo. We had to drag them away to La Laconda that was around the corner from the park. We were pleased to find numerous empty tables outside since it was such a pleasant evening. Our waiter spoke almost no English but was pleasant to a fault. He made a small error in our order resulting in octopus being added to my daughter's spaghetti but a quick switch of dishes with Mommy cured what ailed all. She was satisfied with the penne she received as a replacement. My other present offspring ordered and enjoyed the lasagna without issue. I had what may have been the best pepperoni pizza of my life. The only ones who left unhappy were our miniature schnauzers who didn't get a bowl of water or snacks. With beers, soda and tip we spent 50 euro for the four of us. We will certainly return. Eating like a gourmet. Great ambience, all very fleeting and especially fresh and tasty. Certainly there is one or the other to improve. That's why I don't understand the same and bad reviews of other guests. I was there last Saturday with my parents and came extra from Bavaria. The place was fully visited. Can so many mistakes? definitely worth a visit again
