"I went there with some friends for lunch The service was great! I ordered a burrito with French fries and was not expecting this huge burrito that was as big as the plate. "We definitely enjoyed our visit here. The gentleman checking us in was very nice and professional. He even hand delivered water and cups to our room. The rooms were very nice, clean and neat. I loved the orginial grand staircase and all of the newspaper clippings detailing the history of the hotel attached to the checkin counter. Woke up this morning and they even left a paper bag full of goodies for us to take on the road. If you are looking to stay in a quaint historical hotel in a small town this would be the place."

"Yesterday we had a mix with our usual Catererer (no mistakes from them). With less than two hours before we feed 20 performers and crew, we contacted La Casa and asked everything necessary for hot Fajitas with all sides both meat and vegetarian. "From places of visit to Iowa was decided to stop a lunch in the area. I said the lady, I wanted chicken she asked beer crushed or flour I asked her what she suggested she asked if I crispy one I said so beerbatter is what she proposed. Ernie was undecided between veal or roasted pork tenderloin, a her homemade tenderloin suggested. We also had creamy potato soup. When the food came, the soup was the best we had for soup. Then the food came when you're hungry, that was your fault. The food was excellent homemade. Was by far the best food we ever had in a restaurant. We took half of our food home. I recommend this place for everyone. Very homemade food. The Pwaitstaff was great that we didn't try any dessert cause. The prices were great."
