It appears that Eddie's restaurant has closed down. I visited yesterday (July 24, 2022) at 5:30 p.m. and found all the windows covered, the door locked, and the restaurant clearly vacant. The posted hours had been removed from the window. Other tenants in the mall were unaware of the situation, with one mentioning that it had been closed for two weeks. Eddie's used to be known as one of the top Italian restaurants in... View all feedback.
What Alyssa Golinar doesn't like about Eddie's Italian:
I believe this restaurant may have closed down. However, their online ordering system is still active, which unfortunately led me to discover the hard way when I ordered $40 worth of food online and arrived at the restaurant to find it closed. View all feedback.
Half the tables needed to be cleaned. Got a calzone and it was straight trash. Been to 10 different locations and this was the worst. It was literally bread and cheese. No ricotta, no tomato sauce.
Used to patronize when it was Alejo. Hard to locate off Lincoln and Washington, but if you find it in the small mall you won't regret being there. It's now Eddie's.Went yesterday and got my usual, a lasagna. It was still good.In fact truth be told all thefood is very good. Glad it's still open. Used to work down the street, came every 2-3 days and although the name is different, the food is very much the same.Good.
Frequented this establishment from before when it was still called Alejos. I assume, due to the constant mix ups with the other Alejos location further south on Lincoln, the restaurant changed its name to Eddie's. The menu and food remain the same. Thebread has changed to a toasted bread which is nice, but not the same doughy bread from before. The garlic and Parmigian cheeseis a staple and the pizza and pasta are tasty as usual. With the covid protocols and takeout only containers the portions seem abit smaller but they were pretty large to begin with.
I first started patronizing Eddie 's Italian while driving a cab in 2010 or so on advice of one of my clients, a pilot. His advice consisted of two tips: Stop off at the 7 Eleven next door and pick up a tall boy before you eat. While Eddie 's doesnot serve alcohol, they do have a $0 corkage fee, essentially a drink if you got em policy. Bring your own beer and wine for amore elevated dining experience. Order the linguine with clams. I 've been here probably 50 or 60 times, ordered other stuffa few times but this is really where Eddie 's stands out. This place is super consistent and super cheap. The downside is youhave to deal with a cramped parking lot full of questionable characters. Personally, I 've never had a problem with anyone therebut I know people who have. Quite a few wingnuts that like hanging out around the 7 Eleven and the donut shop. If you brave theobstacles, however, you will be rewarded.
I was introduced to Eddie's Italian restaurant back in 2010 while working as a cab driver, thanks to a recommendation from one of my clients who was a pilot. He gave me two pieces of advice: grab a tall boy from the 7-Eleven next door before dining, and take advantage of Eddie's $0 corkage fee policy to bring your own beer and wine for a more upscale experience. I highly recommend the linguine with clams, as I have visited this restaurant around 50 or 60 times and it never disappoints. The prices are affordable and the quality is consistent. The only downside is the crowded parking lot with some questionable characters hanging around, but personally, I have never had any issues. If you can overlook these obstacles, you will definitely enjoy a satisfying dining experience at Eddie's.
