Conveniently located at McCowan/Bur Oak in Markham.Upon entering the takeout restaurant you're welcomed with aromas from spiced foods and curries. Very clean and large selection of hot prepared foods for takeout.Only had time and appetite for something small so we picked the mutton rolls which you can't go wrong with for a quick bite from a Sri Lankan takeout joint. The pastry was fried well and there was an ok amoun... View all feedback.
What Sheema Abdul Razzak doesn't like about Babu Takeout And Catering:
I would give this restaurant 0 stars if I could. The customer service here is terrible. I visited the Markham location after enjoying the food at their Toronto location. However, the woman at the counter in Markham rolled her eyes at us when we asked questions. She refused to give us 2 different types of samosas for the same price (4 for $1.95). It's important to train staff on how to speak politely to customers. View all feedback.
Sridharan was fantastic. Coming from Washington DC, we felt like we were back in Sri Lanka. The hospitality was excellent. Hopefully, the restaurant will ensure that Sridharan is taken care of because we only want to be served by him whenever we visit!
Absolutely disgusting and horrible service. We all got sick after eating from here.

Always enjoy getting food here! The servings are plenty for people to share and the food is always delicious. The staff are very friendly and the service is fast. The food is halal and has many options.
The Dossi set is bland and overly bitter, with an overpowering taste of turmeric and a lack of urad dal fragrance. The sambol is decent, but the sambar is terrible, to the point where even homeless people would struggle to eat it. The Dosai we ordered was a complete rip-off, lacking in quality and flavor. It is important to prioritize quality over making a profit. Unfortunately, I had to throw away four of them as I couldn't bring myself to eat them. It was a waste of money at $9 per set.
