On Sunday, we first went to Golden Duke at around 1033 am for dim sum. People were lined up outside, so we walked across to Elegant which is usually not crowded.Weekdays, they have dim sum till 3:00 pm specials. On weekends, you have to pay before 11:00 am to get the specials. The owner, Simon, usually walks around and chat to the patrons which is nice. Dim sum was fresh and tasting good. My son was vacationing in Ca... View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Elegant Chinese Cuisine:
I love dim sum and was craving for it. Service was not the greatest food came not to fast it was a bit pricey for what we end up getting the majority of the waiters did not speak English to well so was hard to ask any questions about the food. Food once we got it was good but service not that good. View all feedback.
Our family of 18 celebrated Grandma's 80th Birthday on Saturday. We pre bookedA set menu for a 10 course meal and Simon the owner said we could substitute a couple seafood dishes since two family members have allergies. We also exchangedThe steam chicken for crispy fried chicken. And for veggies, we dined on snow peaLeaves in a bed of bean curd with goji Berry. We had Peking duck, lobster and the sweet and sour pork was good. The bill came up to $700 We were stuffed after and everyone enjoyed their dinner. For dessert, we got little Chinese buns with sweet bean inside. We also got a private room which is good.
A group of eight of us went there for dim sum after playing sport in the morning. The various dishes were pretty good. It is fairly clean and service was good.
The food is excellent, but prices are on the high side. Good food is worth paying for, but the decor of the restaurant suggests otherwise. It needs to be completely updated.
Food comes quick and fresh. Taste original just like in Hong Kong. Suggest order pork ribs and congee. Hard to find parking, because the whole area is covered with restaurant, but usually you can park in the back. The owner is very friendly.
Met with family for Sunday dimsum as my sister in law knows the owners. First, there is a HUGE aquarium by the front door basically blocking the reception area to the eating area of the restaurant. No one came out to serve us until my husband walked past the aquarium to flag someone down. Secondly, they misheard my sister in law's requested reservation time, instead of 11:30 am they put down 12:30 pm. Despite this, the restaurant wasn't busy and we were able to get seated right away. The food is mediocre and pricier than most other dimsum places we have gone to. There are no carts, just a checklist where you select your dishes. The dishes themselves are not particularly big but not too small either. As well, I noticed that areas of the restaurant had chinese vases and art with sale tags on them so I'm guessing the owner has a side business of selling these.
