HOT TIP: Ask for the VEGETARIAN/VEGAN menu. It is a separate menu containing 20-30 tasty meals. ALL of which are vegan (except 1 or 2) and, in my opinion, are far better than the standard meat menu. The venue can be a tad loud however it can add to the ambiance if a fun weekend meal is what you're after. View all feedback.
What Kathryn Nolan doesn't like about Bau Truong:
I would not consider the food at Bau Truong as Vietnamese cuisine because they are commonly available in Thailand, Malaysia or Singapore. The menu was extremely long and I randomly ordered a few dishes which sounded nice.

This restaurant was a wonderful surprise. The menu was very intriguing and we found it hard to choose between the mouth water items on offer. I will definitely going back with more friends so I can try more items on the menu.

However, the taste of the artificial five-spices power began to overwhelm and wear your taste buds down. I would recommend that they stop using it. The signature grilled chicken was cold and tasted artificial because too much tenderizer was added. Disappointing!
Looks very nice and well designed and food looks amazing a nice place to wine and dine with friends or just someone special atmosphere is very chill and relaxing
I had high hopes for this place, which almost never ends well, but as a whole it was great with a couple of aspects that really bumped up the rating. Ordered a few dishes off the vegetarian menu such as the “duck” pancakes, mock meat rice cracker stir fry, along with some vege noodles. Other dishes were xo pipis, scallop entrée, soft shell crab. Entrees were all nice, but none particularly memorable. I liked the “duck” pancakes but there was way too much sauce which was a bit overpowering. Mock meat stir fry was pretty salty and had a strong basil taste, so wouldn’t say it was a good choice as I am not the biggest fan of basil. Other dishes were nice and enjoyed by all. The taro prediction dessert was incredible and highly recommended. I’m not even that into desserts but have to say it was the winning dish of the night. Service was efficient to begin with, but later on in the night a lovely man started serving us and it became efficient AND friendly.
