Domaine des Etangs - Massignac

Exceptionally high quality experience that would be 6* if TripAdvisor could do that. Booked 24 hours in advance and unfortunately we did not notice the prompt reply saying sorry not spaces. Thus we arrived to discover no reservation. We were about to leave when the receptionist asked why we were going and we explained what had happened. A brief phone call was made and an indoor table was offered to us. To be clear this was our fault and we were extremely grateful for the table. The service and food we then received were first rate. 5 course meal came with a number of additional pre/post courses. Wine list has wide range from reasonable 10-15 per glass or bottles from 50 to 500 to taste and budget. Lovely grounds to walk off some calories afterwards.

An outstanding experience in all ways. The front of house staff were superb. They were attentive, discrete and when asked very helpful both in French and English. The little extras such as the mise bouche and palate cleansers were great. The childrens menu enabled the children to enjoy similar dishes to the adults although the portions for them could be less. Two of us chose 3 courses the other two five couses. The taste and presentation were sublime. Compliments to the chef and his team. A truly great afternoon in beautiful surroundings.

Es ist jetzt bereits das dritte Mal in den letzten zwei Monaten dass ich dort eingekehrt bin.Die hervorragende Küche und die ausgezeichnete, freundliche und dezente Bedienung lassen keine Wünsche offen.Der geschmackvolle Rahmen des Speisesaales rundet diesen kulinarischen Höhepunkt ab.Uneingeschränkt weiter zu empfehlen!Gerhard Strauss

The most important feature of Domaine des Etangs is certainly its stunningly beautiful setting ... The estate with its lakes, water mill and chateau is absolutely brilliant ... when restoring the domaine money wasn't an objection and every detail seems perfect. The food, and that is what you come for, is excellent as well ... as can be expected from a one-star-Michelin restaurant ... although somehow it will not necessarily 'wow' you (or 'blow you away'). Tip: stop by for lunch when a 3-course menu is yours for only 35 euro - a price/quality ratio almost unheard of in most other countries!All-in-all an absolute winner and to end with a quote from The Terminator: I'll be back!

Un repas juste parfait, en plus des différentes saveurs il y a le cadre qui est magnifique (calme et reposant) , le personnels est aimable et soigneux. Après un super moment, une petite balade sur les terres du domaine un petit coin de paradis. À refaire au plus vite.
