Went for the 2nd time for a blues music night with Jimmy Watts, & had a great evening. Food was delicious & the music first rate. Am planning another visit soon. View all feedback.
Been to Marakoopa Cafe a couple of times now. Most recently tried the kransky and must say I was impressed. The performance area is now complete (wasn't the last time I was there) and it looks like it'd be a good place to watch some live music. Both the outdoor and indoor stages. Hopefully someday I'll be able to attend a concert there. The owners have a great knowledge of the area and are always happy to answer questions you have and give some advice about local attractions (not just the caves nearby). Highly recommend stopping off at this little cafe before or after a tour of the caves. Well worth it!
Good food, but we found it more expensive than other places. But then, it is a bit out of the way and we understand the problems of having a selection of food, keeping it fresh, and having to pay for the stock whether eaten or not. I would recommend having a light lunch here if on your way to/from the Caves.
We called in after a visit to the nearby caves and so glad we did. Best muffin I have eaten - raspberries from the garden that morning and freshly baked. Good coffee and lovely owners running the place. Well done.
Gorgeous little cafe with beautiful country gardens, scenic views and rocky outcrops. Plenty of outdoor seating,we arrived on nice warm day. Enjoyed delicious soups, carrot and lentil, sweet potato with Cajun spice, tas t e of fresh herbs with lovely homemade bread and to top it off we enjoyed almond cake with cardamon and nuts on top.rest of menu looked very enticing worthy of more visits
In November I took a group of 57 to Tasmania on a 12 day garden tour and included was a visit to the Marakoopa garden. This delightful garden is not regularly open to the public, however the café is open on certain days. Our driver who regularly takes tours to the Mole Creek Caves was unaware that the wonderful café existed. Our morning tea was delicious and I would recommend anyone visiting the caves make a stop here for lunch.
