What Cameron Marshall doesn't like about La Marjolaine:
When we found all our local cafes closed for the french holidays we were recommended to try here. It was easy to find in a lovely location. We wanted the plat da jour menu which was 21€ pp. The wine list has a large choice...with a large range of prices Eventually we managed to find a nice red for 20€ (which was the cheapest on the menu). A bit pretentious but food was delicious. Strange bread buns which appeared stale but my favourite was the tomato carpaccio.
Having been previously with French friends who were highly impressed so after two years I took my daughter and her husband for lunch on this visit. There was an interesting and varied choice for each course. I selected a mid range Saumur Champigny wine from...the extensive list to complement the beef that two of us chose and it did not disappoint. The service and standard were still very good.
Nous avons adoré notre séjour à la marjolaine, la vue de la chambre sur la Mayenne était très agréable, le service au top et le restaurant était à la hauteur de nos attentes !
Un dimanche le service était comme qui dirait amateur, pas de présentation des plats et service rapide sans conviction...un léger bruyant au fil du temps le midi dans la salle...par contre les plats sont fournis et goutés donc il manquait juste de communication avec le personnel c'est dommage. Le lieu est superbe avec de beau bâtiments. La cuisine est très agréable. Allez y c´est bien.
