Hard to fond a place like this anywhere in NW Wis. Mostly what you find is basic bar food. Not so here. Casual but great food for a dining experience. White linen table cloths and napkins. Okay wine list. Good service staff. A che who cares what puts on the table. Reasonable prices. Worth experiencing. View all feedback.
What Jane Heidenreich doesn't like about TenPenh - Tysons:
The service was very good, but the food was average; old lime slices, fish not so fresh. I was surprised the chef let the fish tacos leave the kitchen...unacceptable! View all feedback.
This was our first time to the VA location of this former DC restaurant, and we probably will not return. The positives: the location is convenient with $5 valet parking, the ambiance was nice, my Vodka martini was excellent and our server was attentive. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is not what we remember, and we were disappointed. The online reviews of the duck were mixed, but I decided to try it because I love Peking duck. As it turns out, the negative reviews were on point — the duck was tough, the skin wasn’t crispy, the pancakes were dry and tasteless and the cucumber slices were too large. My husband ordered the halibut, and it over cooked and dry. Overall, we didn’t have a positive experience.
Please tell them it's not true. the waiter told us the restaurant closes. they have a challenging situation, but everything else is the best advice. Hope they can find a new location and reopen so that we can enjoy this wonderful restaurant again.
I would definitely recommend tenpenh! we are so sad to close them. we always had an excellent experience every night that we shared a wonderful meal there. kudos to the chefs and employees in tenpenh! they have always made our evenings magical:
