It was my birthday so we chose to dine at this hotel. We were welcomed with open arms and friendly smiles. The menu was large and reasonably priced. Each meal was plentiful and very well presented, with no complaints from any of the 10 at our table. Would recommend to anyone and I will certainly return. View all feedback.
What Carole Hall doesn't like about Magnums Bistro @ Hotel McLaren:
we stopped for dinner and were surprised how the things were done. they are given to a table number and menus and then they have to go to find the table itself. no personal takes you. when his time to order his back to the same recipe, a girl sits on a chair that is miles too big for the writing at which she works. Love it ! the staff are so good ..special mention to Kim, Nicole,Hannah and Bernadette. The food is excellent. My husband loves the schnitzel with creamy mushroom sauce and I am a big fan of the potato skins entree !
6 of called in for dinner everyone had Schnitzels except me and I had Turkey, huge mistake the Turkey was slimy and horrible and I couldn't eat it and although it was mentioned to the waitress nothing was done about it apart from 'I'm sorry' . The Schnitzels were very good, too large for some of our party to finish them. The vege bar was good, you help yourself.
Wow , for a pub, this place was awesome..the staff were so friendly and accommodating... we were able to purchase wine from the bottle O and take through for a very reasonable surcharge . The shanks were amazing as was the seafood platter ... highly recommended
My wife and I dined at Magnums the other night the service was good, friendly and welcoming the veggy bar was very nice especially the crumbed cauliflower that's a winner! the meal came out fast - not many people in at the time would recommend it to anyone we even won on the pokies afterwards nice to be paid for a good meal -- great night
