Golden Island Chinese Take Away

I love that this restaurant is so close to my home. I enjoy ordering takeout from here. The salt and pepper squid is the best in town. I also love their fried rice, garlic king prawns, and steamed dumplings. One time I arrived late for a pick-up order of salt and pepper squid, and they cooked me a fresh batch. That's excellent customer service in my book. The prices are reasonable as well.

Foods all fresh cooked. Xichuan beef lunch special is the best for those want some spicy foods.

$13 lunch specials (cash $14 with card). bark meat with black bean sauce and chicken and sweet. Typical Australian Chinese farewell on the sweeter side. frieder reis was lukewarm and pretty bland. sauce was meh, was not really black bon sauce and quite salty.

Tasteless tasteless tasteless....what a waste of money

Been coming here for years and have not had a bad meal yet. Always my go to when we want Chinese food. The kids love the boneless lemon and honey chicken. And I can't go past the schezwan chicken. Still my all time favorites.
