Went there for breakfast this morning! What a lovely way to start the day! Even though it was very very busy we were served in record time and food was exceptional! Not to mention the service a special thank you to Anthony for going above and beyond for us! Also bought their delicious bread as well best bread I've ever tasted!! Would highly recommend to all my family and friends . View all feedback.
What Jeffery Cole doesn't like about Brasserie Bread:
Artisan bakery that offers a small selection of cakes (Eg. cupcakes, madeline's, etc.) & delicious danish pastries) as well as fresh bread... I had a nice apple danish to accompany my cappuccino... This cafe caters mainly to take away customers from nearby businesses, however there is one small table outside on the pavement & a long bench inside where you can eat & drink (standing room only)... The worst experience ever! I visited their corner at Tullamarine Airport Melbourne. Before boarding our plane (jetstar) I decided to purchase a roll for the flight (10:00am) I paid $16 for a Schiacciata roll filled with prosciutto, bocconcini and rucola. BIG MISTAKE! The lady wanted to heat the roll but I said no, since it's fresh and no need to heat. About 12:00 I decided to eat the roll: it was not eatable: the bread was stale, I reckon it was about 5 days old! The bocconcini were rancid...yellow and off; the prosciutto was dry and old and the rucola was soggy. It was full of mayonnaise, probably to soften the bread. After a few bites I had to chuck it out as I was feeling sick! Unacceptable!! I was sick for the whole flight.. upon my return to Melbourne I went by the cafeteria to tell them but unfortunately it was alread closed. These are the photos...the following day they sell the leftovers ...the health department should pay a visit! For the price paid, I would expect fresh food not old food which is very dangerous for your health!

A big self-serve jug of iced water with lemon/lime slices is available if you want a refreshing glass of water & the two daily Melbourne papers are available to peruse... Cafe is clean & the service staff member was cheerful & friendly...
I love this place, which is a pretty big claim to make considering I still haven't been to their cafe properly :/ (It's been on my list for
Been here a few times to have a coffee and some bread when I've found myself in the area.
Waiting for a mid-morning flight we decided to be adventurous and try somewhere new for breakfast.
