Carousel Cafe - Melbourne

Albert park Lake has a few cafes and needing a walk and coffee is always a good combination. Carousel has outdoor seating with a view of the water and the city and is lovely on a fine winter's day. I enjoyed the coffee and the service was quick and the coffee creamy and very enjoyable. Even when I paid, the guy inside was very attentive and engaged in conversation. I will return. Please note, you do have to pay for parking and do not risk not paying as you will get a ticket which we saw on a car. $78 is pretty hefty.

I went there for a wedding and found that the floor staff was very professional. The service personal where very friendly and quick. The food was very very good the slow cooked lamb was excellent. However I did not like the frangipani cream on my dessert, it was a bit sour.

The best thing I can say about this cafe is the location. It was a sunny morning in Melbourne with Albert Park Lake as the back drop, you couldn't ask for more. Well some service could be good. The staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves to bother with us. It took ages to get coffee and even longer for breakfast. The food was good but you did not feel welcome. There's better cafes but the view won't be as good.

We order the waffles and we loved the honey walnuts and poached pears! The only downside was that the waffles I think were not home made:(The big breakfast was very tasty but not big:((The view of the water on the balcony was lovely,we had great morning:)
