El Norte e Mexican - Meridian

Always great food and friendly service with more than one smile.

El norte has a rich detailed interieur with a great ambiente. the Mexican music is not too obtrusiw and gives a pleasant background. the server are efficient when terse, but they get the food and drink quickly. the best measure for a Mexican restaurant for me is the tamale. here at el norte they are pretty good. the masa is a little spicy, but the pig filling is dense and spicy. it has a beautiful little accent. enchilada is not describing, but filling. the aroz was plentiful and aromatic. the taquitos were extremely crispy, including the chicken filling that was overtaken and chewing. they have sweetened several Mexican beers, kosksprodukte and tee perfectly. chips come before their free meal with decent salsa, and the queso is thin and tasty. we enjoyed a full dinner here.

Manager got mad because my wife didn't like her bons because they apparently made the same bons for the last 25 years and no one else ever complained about her why she should. overall horrible service and attitude and we won't be back!

I have had better Mexican food. The food was bland the queso was not hot, and the server was not very attentive.
