After a long day at Fiera Milano we returned to Esco Bistro Mediterraneano. Started with a great Negroni accompanied By black olives and some delicious home made crudités. Friends from Milan suggested this restaurant in the Via Tortona. Unfortunately we arrived a little late as we did not realise that you had to head to a walkway under the railway lines near the via Privata Bobbio once you got off the Metro at Porta Genova with Google showing the restaurant being directly opposite the station but on the other side of the tracks. Interior of the restaurant was quite modern and welcoming. The menu had some interesting selections. Between the 4 of us we had the veal tartare, the tuna, a pasta dish and the risotto which was quite a large serving but just OK. The other 3 enjoyed their choices. Mains were scallops with broccoli and anchovies (unfortunately not great as the anchovies overpowered the delicate flavour of the scallops) and the veal Fassone, which again, was only just OK. Good wine menu. Service was very friendly and efficient.
Excellent food and amazing cocktail Nice mix of italian mediterranean cousine reinterpreted by the chef with good wines and exotic cocktails . Simple but raffinate style and furniture makes feel like like at home in a international atmosphere.
Visited the restaurant for dinner with office friends and it was an amazing choice. Though we had practically booked the entire place as it was a large group. We were entertained with wine and other options along with snacks. We were then seated for dinner and had this amazing 4 course set menu. The food was amazing and there were dishes which were made out of vegetables you wouldn’t even imagine. The company was excellent along with the food and this is one place I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have an amazing experience. Also I heard from my local friends that the restaurant recently bagged 1 Mechlin Star which gives all the more reason to visit the place.
Nice, small restaurant with good service and delicious food. The service is very nice and friendly, the food is tasty and well served. Prices are not excessive and you can spend a very nice time there. I really cecomend this place for a lunch or evening drink.

Delicious, light, tasty and enjoyable. All accompanied from a reasonable wine suggestion from the Emilia-Romagna region. The wine had a great nose and married well with my fish and my son's spaghetti . Another great experience at Esco, can't wait to return again. Apologizes to the chef Because I couldn't wait to taste the sardines. Lost my head!
