What Jillian Moore doesn't like about Hotel Palisade:
This place is great for a few drinks but the food is awful and expensive for what it is. A couple of tips for you, the burger should be the same size as the bun. Secondly you cannot offer ONE rib cooked quickly so it...is tough for 30 bucks, it’s just not cricket dear boy!! Will I be back, absolutely for a drink, will I eat, no, I will pop over the road to The Lord Nelson! View all feedback.
The portion sizes are poor only for one person , best choice is the spatchcock,suggest drinks only Views are amazing so have drinks don’t buy food
We had a love evening upstairs recently, served by the very lovely Alice who was absolutely amazing. Food was delicious too, we had a variety of share plates based on Alice’s suggestion and they were faultless.
My wife and I ate here twice on our recent visit to Australia. We were staying just around the corner and The Palisade was our local'. We ate in the downstairs' pub' on both occasions. Both our meals were excellent freshly cooked, full of...flavour and well presented. And accompanied by a wonderful pale ale. While the steaks were superb, we thought both thought the fish and chicken were even better. Great value too we thought the prices were very reasonable, especially for the centre of Sydney. We highly recommend The Palisade'. As well as couples, the place appeared to be popular with small groups and families. We absolutely loved it!!
Downstairs was great pub experience with great burgers and good beer on tap. Spicy chicken was the best I've had in the city so far.
Of us went for lunch and tried their special burgers. They were huge and delicious! Wish we could take this place home with us :
