New Heaven Indian Restaurant

This is a jewel in the crown in Millicent's main street. Don't just use it for take out. Dine in and be spoilt with an attractive layout of white tablecloths and napkins, great wait staff, traditional Indian music (albeit via Satellite TV channel...with the TV unobtrusive) and tasty food.Beware, it is easy to overindulge and you must leave room for the hot dumplings for dessert. We never miss when coming to Millicent. The quality has not faltered over the years

A few friends visited a mate in Millicent recently and decided to try New Heaven Indian Restaurant. Being a small town I didn't hold out expectations for genuine Indian food but I was most pleasantly surprised. The owners are from North Indian but have a wealth of dishes available and all extremely good. The owners are incredibly friendly and can adjust the "heat" of the dishes to suit individual needs. Three of us decided upon Banquet #2 while one friend who is not into spicy food choose from the menu. The banquet was fantastic with more than enough of each dish. The flavours were very authentic (well except for beef which is not really part of Indian cuisine) and well cooked. This is the type of restaurant you would expect in large cities and not small towns. But they excel. Prices are very moderate and great good value.

Excellent food great service well worth a try wont be disappointed . all food on menu is great and will fill you to the max ,.

This restaurant is our favourite - the food is always perfect, and Suki can adjust any meal to your request (have you ever tried a cool vindaloo or a hot korma??). I could not recommend New Heaven highly enough.

My partner and I were in Millicent overnight and only visited New Heaven because we hadn't had Indian food for some time.Being one of those shopfront eat-in/take-away restaurants, we weren't expecting six stars. What we got though was outstanding, friendly service and very delicious food. The service started with a warm greeting and continued when the attendant spread napkins on our laps and, later, set the table ready for our meals. We also appreciated how the staff checked on our table throughout the meal to make sure everything was okay. The meals themselves weren't slow in coming and were cooked to perfection.Overall, the food, the service and the decor were very charming and good value and I recommend it to anyone stopping in Millicent.
