Pretty solid Mexican cuisine. Large plates that will leave you full. The shredded beef burrito was stuff with decent amount of meat and accoutrements. Friendly and attentive staff. View all feedback.
What Natalie M doesn't like about Casa Azteca Milpitas:
Really disappointed. We waited 30 minutes for a table on a Sunday night when numerous tables were vacant. The service was slow... and even if we could justify that with low staff, the food did not taste authentic... or good for that matter. The rice and beans were the only somewhat yummy things. Would not recommend View all feedback.
We came by on Tuesday after work around 7pm and were seated within 5-10 minutes. We ordered combination plates (chicken enchilada and beef tamale with rice and beans) and I also ordered a Paloma. They serve chips and salsa for the table and did come by to refill our chips and salsa. The menu offers a lot of options, so we took some time to decide since it's a big menu. My Paloma was pretty good and the food came on a hefty plate. The portion sizes are pretty big (I'm not complaining) and we also ordered a chicken burrito to-go for lunch the next day. The burrito was veryy big and packed. This place is pretty casual inside so it's makes for a good lunch or weeknight dinner spot.
Lunch 'd here with my girl on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. The restaurant is dim during the day but that 's okay it 's part of the ambiance. This restaurant has been around for decades in Milpitas at least 40 years? and has a legacy for whipping up Mexican cuisine classics. I ordered the Tradicionales Enchiladas $20.00 which is described on the menu as two corn tortillas filled with your choice of Beef, Chicken, Cheese, or Grilled Veggies covered with a mild red chili sauce and cheese. Served with Spanish rice and refried beans. My girl ordered their Street Tacos Set Of 3 $12.00 which is described on the menu as Choice of Grilled Chicken, Carne Asada, Carnitas, or Fish. Served with cilantro, onion, lime wedges, and salsa verde. Along with the Pico De Gallo and complimentary chips and salsa our server also shared his secret house hot sauce made out of habanero peppers. That sauce is not made for the weak but was such an excellent addition that topped off my rice and enchiladas. Service was fantastic. Loved the humor of our server and enjoy his witty comments it 's so important to have fun! Would definitely recommend this locally owned small business to all near and far.
I can't believe this is the first time coming here. This local gem was so good and the food was delicious! The chili Colorado will not disappoint. My son inhaled the street tacos. The chicken Mole was so yummy! We will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu! I love the service here. Is this family owned? FWIW, they made us feel at home.
We decided to kick off the new year with a lovely lunch at Casa Azteca, our go-to spot for Mexican cuisine. The food is consistently delicious and the service is excellent. The staff always welcomes us warmly and asks how we've been. Gustavo, our favorite waiter, always takes great care of us. We started with some complimentary chips and salsa, including a mild salsa for those who can't handle spice well. All entrees come with a choice of soup or salad, and we love the chicken tortilla soup with lime, avocado, and sour cream on the side. It's both delicious and comforting. For our main dishes, I ordered the La Fiesta with three items - an enchilada, taco, and tamale, while my husband chose the chili Colorado with flour tortillas on the side. The food was piping hot and delicious, as always. Although I couldn't finish my meal, I boxed it up to take home. While we usually enjoy their margaritas, we decided to save them for our next visit. I highly recommend Casa Azteca for anyone looking for great food and exceptional service.
After a long day, we realized it was getting late and it was too late to cook. I looked up the restaurant 's hours and see they close at 9pm. I submit an online order for pickup by 8:18pm. We go to pick it up at 8:40pm and they say we are not fulfilling online orders because we decided to close early since we were slow and they haven 't taken any online orders since before 8pm. Mind you, the restaurant had patrons as they were saying this. When I told them my online order was confirmed and my card was charged, she said well you 're gonna have to call them and get it fixed . Wow. I 've never experienced such terrible customer service. I 'd give them 0 stars if I could.
