Came here for lunch with colleagues. The set lunch is excellent. It comes with miso soup and salad. Service is quick except for dishes that need time to cook. Best to book the place early if you have a big crowd coming. There is no spoon provided though you asked for one though. Hence, you need to get used to drinking soup from the bowl itself (bottoms up). View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Masamune Japanese Restaurant:
First time here as good, second time here not so much. Chicken teriyaki in my bento box was cold and the flavour I could make it better at home. The fried tofu which was the daily item could not be substituted, annoying so I didn't eat it, hate throwing out food I paid for. Don't think I will return. View all feedback.

Decent prices and quality. However, there isn't the typical variety that you would get in Vancouver. Slow paced but large with plenty of seating.
We were seated quickly but then no one came to ask if we wanted any drinks. Perhaps they were still annoyed with us that our party of 9 turned into a party of only 4; but to be fair, we did call to make the adjustment. Each of the four of us enjoyed very different meals, but no one had sushi beyond dragon rolls so I can't speak to that. I had so much of my meal left over that it was part of lunch for my husband and me the next day.The "boat" serving platter in the next room looked outstanding.
I am a sushi snob having eaten most of it within 30 miles of the ocean. The place is Korean owned and features many Korean dishes along with Japanese. I was the only caucasian which is a good sign. The service was very slow on a dead Wednesday even by Japanese restaurant standards. Sushi was OK - like I said probably good for Mississauga but average for any coastal city. Price was very fair. Beer and wine only.
Hidden in a strip mall plaza will not attract your attention, but it was recommended by a friend and we gave it a try.We called in advance for dinner reservations and got a booth; the service was excellent, and discreet. We ordered a sushi platter for two people and everything tasted great.I would recommended it.
