I ate here last year so don't remember what I had, but if you are in Toronto this is a great spot to to come if you enjoy Indian Cuisine. It is a fairly popular spot so I would suggest making reservations. A little bit pricey but well worth it. I would not suggest this for very young children. View all feedback.
What Hassan Bernhard doesn't like about The Host:
I visited The Host on a Friday evening with 2 other people. The first impression was not good a which unfortunately foreshadowed the rest of the evening. The hostess was not cordial, polite and her communication skills were lacking. We had an event at the Host, Mississauga. Parminder and his team were outstanding. Parminder created a menu that was innovative and refected to the cultural tastes of the guests. Something that I have never a restaurant to accommodate. The food was tasty and delicious. The wait staff were very professional and courteous.Thank you,Melvin

Had a great meal last night at The Host in Mississauga ON. From the popadum to the starter and the main everything was authentic and delicious. Great atmosphere full of locals. Had the tandoori chicken which was fabulous with biryani rice. Can't wait to go back.
So, another year and Host did not disappointExcellent spreadThe street food section, hors d'oeuvres were great and the vegetarian dishes were excellent. Achari Paneer and Malai Kofta deserves special mention.Non veg dishes were, unfortunately, not up to Host standards, but the overall experience was very good.
I've always enjoyed the food at the Host. However, our last meal there was rather disappointing. While my husband thought the butter chicken was delicious, I found the dal makhni very runny which isn't the way it normally is. Also, the spices weren't well balanced as all I could taste was ginger. What really put me off was how dirty the menus were. There was dried food on the pages of my menu as well as my husband's menu and his menu was also falling apart. I guess the owners just don't care anymore...
