This place is perfect for happy hour! The food was yummy and the $7 happy hour drinks were too. What made it even better was the ambiance; a view of LA/CSULA and a talented live band. View all feedback.
What Étienne Aubry doesn't like about Luminarias:
The place looks great after it was renovated .However, the brunch is not buffet anymore . The food was ok nothing too special for it . The price is on the high end. I wish there were more options for the brunch. We probably won't be coming back anytime soon unless I have a wedding to attend to. View all feedback.
Such an easy venue to work with. Parking is great. Loading in and out is crazy easy to do. I got lucky and was able to get the parking spot right next to the door that leads into the event room. Staff were really great to work with as well. I can't wait to DJ here again.
Beautiful restaurant amazing view drinks were top tier grilled oysters were delicious , jalapeño cornbread was really good and different everything was great except for my over cooked $120.00 tomahawk which was very salty as well even after I put chimichurri all over it besides that everything was good.
What amazing experience we had at this wonderful, beautiful place. The scenery is so awesome. And the service is so great. Food taste was the best. I will definitely recommend this restaurant for family and friends and also for special occasions.
I haven't been to Luminarias in years and I must say things have changed in a very good way. My family and I went here for a Sunday brunch and the weather was beautiful. There was music, and a lot of beautiful couples and families enjoying each other and the bottomless mimosas which is a must! Our waiter Andrew the Angel I call him was so kind and helpful. There was about 13 of us and he made sure to be there whenever we needed him and got all of our orders right. His service was impeccable give this man a raise! Andrew also knew his stuff. I noticed this place looked very familiar to Castaway in Burbank which my family and I went last year at the same time. So I asked Andrew if they had same owner and he said yes the owner was a pilot and every location he created had a rooftop view of the city. Now that he told me of the other locations like In Long Beach etc I can't wait to go. The food and drinks were delicious! As I said we all had the bottomless mimosas which included Pineapple Jalapeno, Dragon Fruit Watermelon, Fresh Cucumber Mint, and the Lavender Activated Charcoal Lemonade which was my fave. For food we had the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Beef Birria Empanadas, Cheese Charcuterie board, Chilled Oysters, Guacamole, Caesar Salad, Wedge Salad, Bacon Flight, Fried Chicken and Waffles, French Toast, Steak Frites, and we even received a complimentary birthday cake for my mom. All the food was good, I had no complaints. It was a great experience and I can't wait to be back. Summer is here and the sun is finally out to stay so I would definitely check this place out if you haven't already.
Beautiful restaurant with an amazing view. Highly recommend the patio area as you will be able to enjoy the view while enjoying food/drinks. The food was flavorful. Our server was very attentive. Perfect restaurant for catching up with friends or a date night. Of note, the restaurant does share a parking lot with a neighboring golf club take some caution when parking to avoid golf balls hitting your vehicle.
