Cibo has the best Chicken Marsala I have ever had in my entire life. From the fresh baked bread to dip in your olive oil and vinegar to the bean soup to the craft cocktails, this place is a must see in Monterey. Over all the fancy dining my fiancee and I have been to in Monterey and Carmel, this place so far is our favorite. We will be recommending this place to all of our friends and family looking for a great spot... View all feedback.
What SallyT doesn't like about Cibo:
Really disappointing. Live music was very loud and we were seated in a booth facing the restaurant so the people at either end couldn’t talk over the music. We asked to be reseated but we’re rudely told not possible, despite there being several empty tables in the other half of the restaurant which could have accommodated us. Service was all over the place waited ages for some things then main courses arrived literal... View all feedback.

Very good pasta. A bit noisy due to the live band. Overall, I was gonna quite pleased.
Shrimp risotto awesome. Polenta creamy. Beets to die for. Bread fresh and tried not to fill up. Music from live band nice to listen and dance to. Waiter was one if the best I’ve ever had. Just another perfect restaurant experience at our usual booth at CIBO’s at 715pm

Caprese salad and bruschetta were not good.
This was my second time dining at Cibo. The first was near Christmas and there was a jazz band that played wonderful holiday tunes. The second time was more recent. The seafood was delicious and service was attentive. I also enjoyed noticing the management/owners interacting amongst each other and staff. Very friendly with a family feel, upscale ambiance, and nice downtown location.
