Went to Buvette Chez Simone at the recommendation of a former Montrealer. We had a bottle of wine and a range of excellent small plates. Intimate, comfortable and welcoming dining room around a large bar in the mile end area. we discovered it in a food wine article and it surpassed the expectations. we sat at the bar to sit close and enjoy the action. the small plates were not so small that we enjoyed over ordered and the next day left. very fair and super well prepared, and I am in the industry. the bartender was extremely helpful as he observed us pathetic American nasty advice google translate on a few basic ingredients. they were also very sensitive to the fish and seafood allergy of my partner.
Great place and good eating. lärm and vibe back to Pre-COVID times.

I had a date with a wonderful woman here. We ended up getting married. So, as date spots go, I’d say this is an excellent choice. The croquettes are also quite good.
