This tratoria has been existing for over 50 years. We have visited many, many times and have always been satisfied. Service is very friendly and courteous and Pasquale always makes you feel welcomed. Complimentary garlic bread with bruschetta is always offered. The food, whether you have pasta or pizza it is always a treat. You can have your choice of sauces and pasta. Highly recommended. We have visited several times and have never been disappointed . The different and varied tastes are quite vast and interesting. The curtain separations allow intimacy and add a warmth to the place.
This is a very good, inexpensive neighbouhood trattoria serving pasta and pizza but also meat d and fish-seafood dishes. Family run, serving huge portions and adjusting easily to your request as to pasta type or sauces desired. The day I went we were nine persons. I had the mussels marinara as appetizer with lamb chops and salad as main. generous portions and very tasty. Others were also very laudatory about their choices.Service is warm, attentive and efficient. The restaurant has different sections (located on the first floors of two old duplexes) including private ones for groups. One of the great features of this trattoria is the price of the wine: that day for example we had the Liano and it was priced $42 a bottle while it costs around $28 at the SAQ (Québec Liquor Board.)
Have been going to this place for a long time as the owner Mr Pasquale and servers always make you welcome to this place as i always enjoyed the Italian food from Pizza to Pasta or Fish and the entree Antipasto Colbert for 2 wow lots of food on this plate .When going make reservations on week end or you will be sorry as i have seen people turned back because they have no reservation as this place is always packed with people .Food is good and wine is also good as they have a good choice of wine and prices are just great compare to other restaurants in Montreal .
A great local Italian restaurant, situated on the fringe of the current advertised “Italian District” Reservations are recommended as they seem to be quite busy. (Saturday night) To begin with the waiter brought us our wine, we ordered the house white, and with it came a basket of toasted garlic bread and a bowl of tomato topping, what a nice surprise! Most restaurants charge extra for this easy inexpensive appetiser. We both had the Italian lamb chops served with an array of fresh vegetables. It was the owner’s recommendation for that evening, he said that it is not always on the menu, told us that it is difficult in getting the right cut of meat to his standards. The meal came with a pasta entrée, which and olives and some pork tenderloin included in the sauce. What a nice experience ! The service was superb, not rushed yet attentive. The presentation of the food was very nice. We both had a superb dining experience. Yes it was not 5 star, however the price and the service given, made it seem 5 star. Tables for 2 or 4 are semi secluded and made the evening meal with my wife romantic. Saturday nights are busy, as in most restaurants the decibel level a tad high. Thank you Pasquale for a beautiful evening. Salute
Great service, good food (very Japanese,) and very reasonable price.
