We came in for a quick bite. All our 4 plates were delicious. Portions were big and reasonably priced. Restaurant looked clean and the staff was friendly. Highly recommend. View all feedback.
What Jaqueline Sporer doesn't like about Deli 500:
I came right after the lunch rush, the restaurant didn't look busy at all but it seemed like the waitress (she must have been on her own) was over seated. I asked for a table with a plug and was seated at the table that was still full of crumbs and change from the previous customers. The waitress couldn't answer simple questions about the menu. I ordered pasta with sundried tomatoes - it was good, but nothing really... View all feedback.

We were there last week. We were 3. We had club sandwich, lasagna, chicken. We also had soup. We found it was good. We will go back : Quick, easy, no frill and a good Service. Recommend for breakfast and a Quick lunch.
I had come across Deli 500 during my first day in Montreal but it was closed by the time I got to it. It's located in a business tower five minutes from my hotel. It seems to be open during the normal 8-5 hours.During my second day in town, my sister and I made a point of going in for a late lunch. We missed the crowd which I was grateful for and settled in for a good meal. Our male server was friendly enough and brought out our food in a reasonable amount of time.My sister ordered the garden salad with a side of frites and was shocked at the size of her order. My chicken club sandwich was equally impressive. The fries were exactly as I hoped; crunchy, thick and tasty. If and when I return to Montreal, Deli 500 will be on my "go to" list of restaurants.
I had a doctor's appointment in the same building, so I decided to stop in for a cheap breakfast. I wasn't disappointed. I has scrambled eggs, with a small portion of beans, toast, and some fruit, under $5. My only complaint was the post-service attention. The breakfast came quickly, but the waitress never showed up again to fill up the the water, coffee etc
I have eaten at Deli 500 about 20 times during my regular business trips to Montreal. Let's be frank: it's essentially a diner, but it's a great diner. The service is excellent and the food is perfect for a great French Canadian breakfast. Get the smoked meat, order eggs with a side of baked beans, or just enjoy enormous pancakes and waffles covered in fresh fruit and whipped cream. The coffee is also very good. I often show up with 20+ people in tow and it has never been a problem for the staff here. When I was there a few weeks ago we had a single waitress, and she got EVERY SINGLE order correct, and we were all served quickly. How can you not love a place like that?
