African restaurants? There's a few to show. they are too few, the food we serve is usually tasty and original. gracia afrika is no exception. the lamb dish in sauce eaten there, served accompanied by rice, beans, plantains bananas was full of flavor. However, I think it was a little expensive. At $26 a plate, we want a fine kitchen plate, not a family food. I'd aim at about $30-35 for a menu table d'hôte including entrance and dessert. other disappointment: no entry available on the day of my visit. (There is no dessert on the regular menu either) the goat dish that was the reason for my presence there was not available either. it's a small restaurant, the card is already short, so it would be appreciated to make sure the minimum announced. If we're looking for a small intimate restaurant where you bring your wine, it's a good choice. for an optimal African experience, however, I prefer some other addresses. Even if most of them should like.
We went to this restaurant despite the construction work in progress in the neighborhood. the restaurant is intimate and has ten tables. We had no reservation but the restaurant filled in during the evening and I imagine that on Saturday evening it would be better to book (514-932-0250)The menu is on a slate and there are 6-7 dishes on the menu, namely chicken, goat and fish (tilapia during our passage.) we were for chicken and took the sosso and the mwambé or a chicken sauce. both came with a rice with black beans and tasty fries. Besides, there was a little green salad. So the plate was of generous size.We loved our respective plates and the platanes were tasty, light rice and the cooked chicken with delicious charcoal. Peanut sauce didn't taste the peanut too much what was perfect and the other was not too spicy what was also good. As dessert we have each taken a plate of African doughnuts. The cook prepares them once the meals are served, because it is necessary to heat the oil in a small pot and it has no room when it serves meals. We loved these but the quantity (the size of a box of 10 timbits) and the maple syrup makes sure that a portion is good for 2 people if you are not hungry. It's nice to see the cook preparing the dishes because the preparation surface is glassed and we can admire the work of the owner I imagine. Moreover, it can be seen that cleanliness reigns everywhere even in the bathroom. The restaurant is bringing your wine and in the end our two chicken plates and our two servings of African donuts cost us $62 taxes and service included what is reasonable. The waitress was very polite and the service was served at a good pace, allowing us to enjoy our good bottle. So in the end, if you want to taste something different in a quiet atmosphere, this restaurant is to try
Every time someone mentions the African restaurant on the corner, I immediately have a strong negative reaction.
We visited a lovely family-style African restaurant and sampled nearly every dish on the menu, all of which were absolutely delicious.
This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a cozy, romantic meal. The customer service is top-notch, making it a great choice for small groups. I will definitely be back for more and can't wait to return again.
