Contribute FeedbackLe Grand Comptoir offers a traditional French bistro experience in the heart of Montreal. While some reviewers found the prices high for the quality of the food, many enjoyed the daily specials and classic dishes. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, with friendly service adding to the overall experience. From hearty soups to tasty desserts, the menu offers a variety of French cuisine options. Overall, this spot is recommended for those looking for a genuine bistro experience without having to venture all the way to Old Montreal. A solid choice for a satisfying meal in the city.
The gazpacho was delicious and the sangria was fantastic. I also enjoyed the Salade Niçoise.
Extremely disrespectful. My meal arrived cold, and when I brought it up, the manager/owner responded rudely instead of addressing the issue.
This restaurant is gross and way too expensive. The salad had wilted lettuce, and the ketchup bottles were dirty, old, and just refilled.
Near our hotel, mostly local business people, seemed like repeat customers. My sister and I wanted a less commercial experience, so we tried this place that we walked by everyday leaving our hotel. They have daily lunch and dinner specials. We opted for the lunch special $17.95 CA potato soup followed by boneless chicken stuffed with spinach/sun dried tomatoes/goat cheese with generous sides of spinach and salad. Very good. We noticed other diners dishes looked good and featured generous vegetable servings. Would recommend.
French restaurant that needs a good update. A not terrible service, high prices for the quality that it finds in the plate. Frozen fries in 2017 in a dish at $23 Pick your way.
