We went here for lunch today. The staff was fantastic! They had great suggestions not only on the food but also what to do around old Montreal. The food was excellent and they even went as far as to make a poutine for my son even though it was not a menu item. Simply great. View all feedback.
What Amira Dibbert doesn't like about Les Pyrénées:
I've ordered a nice washboard here. overall it was pretty good. the Fois-Gras share was somewhat smaller than I expected, and there were too many spicy items, but overall it was good. View all feedback.
My Girl Scout troop (six 13 year-olds) ate there on August 15th 2017. They wanted a "French" dining experience so I thoroughly researched the restaurants in Old Town before selecting Les Pyrenees. (I lived in France for 2 years.) I wanted a fine-dining experience for them but without breaking the budget (we did sell a LOT of cookies to take this trip!) and a robust menu selection for finicky eaters. We were not disappointed! Between the 8 of us we ordered the duck, the Alberta hanger steak and the lamb. There was not a bite left on anyone's plate. We ordered the creme brule and the profiteroles for dessert. Absolutely delicious! We spent $400 Canadian (includes 2 glasses of wine but before gratuity). However, what I most appreciated was the service. Honestly, I could tell the waiters were little surprised at our party, but they gave us great service. The girls tried to tell them to cook their steak without any red (!!!) and they gently suggested that would not provide the best taste and convinced the girls to try it more the "French" way with some "pink". They were very patient with us and very attentive. The girls had a fabulous time on their night out. Thank you so much to the staff at this great little restaurant.
Truly had a fabulous experience! We asked the concierge at our hotel for a restaurant we could expect a good meal that would allow us to dine with our baby. We were so welcomed, the restaurant is lovely, everything from the bread to our wine to our daughter's chicken fingers to our meals was fanastic. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable. The food was incredibe, and perfectly portioned. We were seated up front by the window which was such a fantastic spot. They even treated us to some delicious ice wine. Thank you so much to our hosts for such a wonderful meal and experience! Would highly recommend! I can't say enough!
We went in here as an off chance and were not disappointed. We managed to get seated right away. The staff were very efficient and friendly and served our table right away. The food was excellent, there were 4 of us in our party each ordered something different and all 4 of us were very pleased. The food was served quickly and piping hot. I would definitely go back if in the area and will recommend it to anyone.
This was the best food and wine we had in Montreal. Lamb shank excellent. Tilapia excellent. Orange chocolate cake was outstanding. Tempranillo wine smooth and easy. Very nice interior and quiet. Going in a few days.
Nice atmosphere, reasonable price, food was good but not great. My daughter didn't care for her dish. Excellent service though
