Restaurant Amir - Montréal

Waited one hour and 45 minutes for this order to arrive. Finally the order arrived and it was the wrong order! Outrageous.

I had the vegetarian plate, Everything was very fresh and full of flavor. The falafel was especially good. My favorite was the fried cauliflower.

On both occasions when my wife gave birth, I made it a point to stop by for the mixed chicken and lamb plate at this restaurant. I even used my greasy hands to cut the umbilical cord, so you could say I'm a regular here. While they do make mistakes sometimes that can ruin a meal, overall it's not bad if you take it to-go. Just be sure to avoid the green lamb with a gasoline-like effect in it, as those are the pieces that have gone bad. The color indicates the presence of bacteria; however, grey-black lamb is safe to eat. The salad can be hit or miss, so I usually opt for the potato instead. The falafel is consistently disappointing and dry, but the vine wrap is tasty. Overall, I don't have any major complaints aside from the slightly high prices.

We usually love this restaurant, but this time it was terrible. The chicken was dry, the falafels were stale, and the pita bread was hard to bite into. The salads were mushy and definitely not fresh.
