Rockaberry - Montréal

I ate dinner here but i know that rockaberry is known for its desserts. my meal was decent. i ordered a burger. the bun was greasy, but the burger was great. the fries were excellent. i would have liked more. the desserts are always excellent. the service was excellent as well.

I rarely write reviews but after a second time - i had enough. The Mystery Diners squad should look into the way this place does business. Instead of holding on to their customers, they prefer overcharging them, making sure they don`t ever come back. Before going, i called one hour earlier to pick up a pie. The gentlemen said not a problem. When i got there. He said a customer in the restaurant ordered a piece! of the pie i ordered. I was shocked - but the best part was that i can still buy the pie if i pay PER PIE PIECE instead of the WHOLE pie cost. I asked if i can buy any other pie but was refused because i had to ORDER IT AHEAD OF TIME!! - I was in shocked! After two years - This Saturday March 4th, after watching a movie, i went again with my kids to purchase a pie to take out - again a gentlemen said that he didn`t have any pies left. After much discussion this nice gentleman finally said that he will check in the back fridge of the restaurant. In doing so, a YOUNG BLACK LONG HAIRED woman worker intercepted him and whispered something to him. He mislead us to think he went, came back and said sorry no more pies left - On a Saturday! I told him i was interested in purchasing a pie less a piece that was on the restaurant display - He said - not a problem, as long as i pay PER PIECE. I told him i was willing to purchase TWO HALVES (to make a whole)- Again he wanted to charge me per piece!! We were seven people. We all walked out scratching our heads - My kids asked me why he wouldn`t let us buy any pies at fair cost - i have traveled to many cities, eaten in many establishments, seen a lot of interesting restaurant etiquette, like Europe and North Africa - but this place tops them. Bewildered. They just lost 7 customers x word of mouth.

The waiters are too cool, cant be bothered if you are not a teenager. Ive been there twice with a party of 5, things on the menu they dont serve anymore, food is soso. I wont be back, thanks.

I believe they deserve a perfect rating of 5 for their delicious pies after reading the reviews.

I absolutely adore the cakes at this restaurant! The desserts were flawless, however, I was not a fan of the poutine and quesadilla. They weren't that great. Stick to the cakes and pies if you visit!
