L'univers du resto est cool, la cuisine est bonne mais la carte n'est pas très variée. Le service est cool est attentionné. Par contre ce petit espace est vraiment bruyant... Dommage! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sparrow:
I felt like I was in Williamsburg Brooklyn eating here, lots of young trendy/hipster people wearing flannel and looking hungover. The line for brunch was very long but luckily they had a seat at the bar. The drinks were good, service okay, and food was decent. Nothing to write home about but also not a bad meal just nothing unforgettable. View all feedback.
Went there for Sunday brunch with my boyfriend. The place was so crowded the service was not great. The place was clearly under staffed. We were standing in line behind two guys who were waiting their friends. Then two other people walked in and were...seated right away, before us. When I mentioned it to the host, he did not apologize nor aknowledge his mistake. Once we were seated, service was not very personal, it took ages to place our order but once it was done, food was ready quickly. It was delicious and we would return just for that, but hopefully on a quieter day
Of us dropped in here, somewhat on whim based on the name. We had just pulled into town after three days on the Petit Train du Nord, and were looking for a cozy place with a good menu. Le Sparrow did the job! A...warm, inviting, interior, somewhat reminiscent of places in Brooklyn but a nice Montreal feel, local crowd, great waitstaff, a good buzz. Some very tasty cocktails and local beers went well with appetizers. We had oysters delicious astounding chicken livers on toast, and I moved on to butter chicken with indian spiced rice. It was a memorable meal with good company in a very pleasant space. I hope to return
We went to the Sparrow based on a recommendation from a co worker and it was spot on. The fried chicken is very good with a nice but unusal flavor, moist not greasy. The sidesof watermelon and feta salad, red cabbage coleslaw and cornbread were...absolutley delicious and a good compliment to the chicken. The fresh apple pie and ice cream for dessert was also one of the best I've had. Small pub big food
Hipster looks but real folks doing great things in a cool neighbourhood. We went for brunch and ended up having some nice local beer Death Valley IPA). The whole neighbourhood was great to walk around and this was the perfect start. Try the smoked...trout breakfast
Our friends called us to join them out for a quick dinner out after a busy working Saturday. We decided on “Sparrow” and joined them there. No reservations taken by this restaurant, ‘just show up and see if there is space’. The kindly gentleman at...the door will let you know how long you would have to wait if it is very busy. Cocktails are great, fun names. The dinners were very, very satisfying for all..Lots of food. Atmosphere is engaging, fun, great bar, cozy and comfortable, and the music was distinctive with chatter all around. The whole experience was enjoyable ....and also fairly priced
