What User doesn't like about Venezia Restaurant:
This restaurant was in the hotel where we were staying, so rather than go out, we ate there, big mistake. My wife had the breast of chicken club. The chicken had a tough skin on, almost like when you overcook it, it was basically inedible. I had the Veal Parmigianino, The veal tasted like chicken, and the noodles were not cooked enough. Here is another play by play as I eat alone yet again before I engage on yet another adventure. I'm at the restaurant inside the travel lodge hotel. Fast greeting from the barkeep, menu and a beer delivered in no time flat. Dominic is on his game, very friendly man. I've ordered the mussels as a starter, and a clubhouse as my entree. 15 mins and the mussels are here. Real good start. The mussels were delicious, now for the sandwich to show up! Sandwich was nothing special, nor were the fries. Service was top notch, beer was cold. Overall not to bad!
Located in the Travelodge airport hotel in Montreal, I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice wide selection of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner on the menu. The food was served hot on the plate which is the way it is supposed to be. Rather than the other way round hot plate and warm food which is a 'no no' in my books when I am evaluating restaurants! Staff are super nice and checking on you to make sure everything is fine with your meal and also offering to top up your water as well!Throughly enjoyed the meal.

The chicken had a tough skin on, almost like when you overcook it, it was basically inedible. I had the Veal Parmigianino, The veal tasted like chicken, and the noodles were not cooked enough. When I mentioned this to the waitress, all she said was she was sorry, no discount, nothing. And I have to add, the service was extremely slow. Also, it's $8.00 for a beer. If you are thinking of eating here, do yourself a favor, find a McDonald's.
I ate dinner here two nights and both meals were delicious. The food was very good and satisfying and the staff was friendly and engaging. I had the penne basilico and the poulet au buerre, two very different dishes that were nonetheless excellent.I would recommend this restaurant if you are staying at the Travelodge, or even at one of the other hotels in the area. Being an industrial area, there aren't a lot of other choices within close distance, but Venezia would probably fit right in even downtown. One criticism that I have is that breakfast doesn't start until 7:00am, and even the server told me that it isn't the best meal that the restaurant serves. It would be nice if they laid out some kind of Continental breakfast by 6:00am for early risers.
