While the menu is impressive and the food delicious, some reviewers noted that the service could be a bit rushed. Despite this, the overall dining experience was enjoyable, with excellent options for both food and wine. With a cozy ambiance and friendly service, this French bistro is definitely worth a visit for those looking for good food at a reasonable price in the heart of Old Montreal.
My group of 76 friends visited the restaurant on a Monday, even though it is typically closed. The staff was excellent and the food was delicious. We had a wonderful evening in your lovely restaurant. Thank you.
I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant recently. I usually don't leave reviews, but the owner provided exceptional service while I dined with my three-year-old and six-month-old. It felt like we were visiting a friend's home. The lamb stew was outstanding! If I were staying in Montreal longer, I would definitely come back to this restaurant. The atmosphere was perfect.
During our exploration of the charming streets of Old Montreal, we stumbled upon a hidden gem that provided us with a wonderful dining experience. The owner, a delightful woman from France, greeted us and wore many hats as she cooked, served, hosted, and entertained us. She recommended some excellent wine pairings to accompany our meal. The cheese plate was a fantastic starter and my tortellini in vodka sauce was simply amazing. The restaurant's inviting and cozy atmosphere, with its exposed brick walls and laid-back vibe, kept us there for hours as we enjoyed delicious food, wine, and coffee while engaging in conversation. After this pleasant surprise, I highly recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Montreal as it truly surpassed our expectations.
This restaurant in Old Montreal is a lovely dining spot. The waiter was incredibly friendly and offered a lot of recommendations. We enjoyed soup, main courses (lamb stew and veal liver), and a dessert (sweet apple). We also ordered drinks and beer. It took a while for our food to be prepared, but the delicious meals made the wait worthwhile. Our party of two adults and two kids ended up spending nearly $100 USD, but everyone left satisfied. The restaurant quickly filled up with locals, showing its popularity in the area.
I had the escargot appetizer and the quiche Lorraine as a main. The escargot were very good and the quiche was pretty much one quarter of the entire quiche plate. Really good wines, attentive service , nice ambience. Next time I'm in Old City Montreal I would go back for sure.
