We have been a few times over the past years and slowly but surely the food and service has improved. We asked for a meal to share and rather than having a separate plate brought over to divvy out ourselves, it was already nicely split into half-serves. No mess, delicious meal and considerate. It was also cold out, so we asked to move a table under shelter as the few inside were already taken. A little wait and it wa... View all feedback.
What Reilly White doesn't like about Deep Water Point Cafe:
Lovely spot to sit by the river and enjoy morning tea or lunch however, you need to be patient waiting for you food. We went for brunch and it took quite sometime for the food to arrive even though there was only a couple of tables ordering, it was nice and we enjoyed it (except for the pile of soggy spinach). Not the cheapest place to eat but the view is with it. Our food was taken to another table even though the t... View all feedback.
I ordered an eggs benedict and paid around $20 for it before being seated. A waiter approached me after I had already paid to tell me they couldn't do poached eggs... Which I found quite odd, as poached eggs are not that hard to do, especially in a restaurant (the chef should deffs know how to do poached eggs as eggs benedicts is on the menu). But i was alright with just having a fried egg i guess. Later, my "eggs benedict" arrived, but there was literally no hollindase sauce (Isn't hollindase sauce the key ingredient in eggs benedict along with the eggs being poached?).So.. In the end i basically just had an average bacon and eggs on plain toast - which should have cost me several dollars less had i ordered that in the first place... So not sure if i would order the eggs benedict if i were you... But its a great location, and perhaps my experience was a one-off bad one? I should try this place again maybe.
Lovely coffee, hot and very good. friendly guys. ???? I'm sorry I can't remember vans name, but was 2 guys
Fantastic for kids as it it is right next to a playground/plain with trees before a jetty. Whilst the food is as average as the staff, I find that you can easily get caught in an amazing conversation due to the mood of the area, also a good area to watch the Aus day fireworks/take nature photos
Just saying.......it's been closed most of the winter. Not sure why? A great spot by the river to sit and watch the world go by. Just need to picnic instead......
Coffee and Cake with a view. What more could I ask for on a perfect sunny Mothers Day? Many families were treating their Mums, but the service was still good and the coffee delicious.
