Beautiful ambience, good food and beverage selection and reasonable prices. I have been regularly going to Zapata for about 7 years and was always satisfied. Especially on weekends you should reserve as much as possible, as it is often well visited in the evening. I recommend the cocktails. Unfortunately, however, the services are not always as friendly as you would like it as a guest, on some days the service is fri... View all feedback.
What Lonie Mueller doesn't like about Zapata:
The only female member of staff serving fortunately took our order as all other members were male and somewhat intimidating. When the food arrived our 2 year olds came a good five minutes after mine and my husbands and my fajitas had more mushrooms than...anything else. The portion sizes were huge, nonetheless. My husband left most of his as he said it didn’t taste right but didn’t want to complain as there was seemi... View all feedback.
Fortunately we were just a few minutes walk from this funny Mexican bar / restaurant in the south of Munich. we also arrived during the generous "happy hour" (5 to 8) in which cocktails are reduced in price. the restaurant has a great ambiente, but more impressive is the very great selection of cocktails and also vegetarian dresses. we had to share afteros and then ordered each different main dishes. there were some dishes here that we never had, so I have attached some photos to help travelers get a look at the offered options.
At our first visit we were surprised more than positiw! on the one hand our waiter took the order without writing anything (we were five) and it came all jerking and nothing has missed - great great! You rarely see that. When I asked that my rest be packed, that was forgotten - on my questioning, it was immediately offered to me a new portion! I've never seen anything like that before!
If a visit is to be found in a dunes (about 2x in year) we always like to connect it to a detour into the zapata. the quality of the food, the service, the atmosphere - wonderful, as since our first visit about 15 years ago. the selection offers something for every taste and the cocktails (especially during the "happy hour)" are super-lecker. the price-performance ratio must be mentioned - absolutely fair and correct.
Great ambiente. and the service was top- very friendly and accommodating. a little remote from the city, but in good 30 minutes from the hbf to reach.
I live in texas and eat at least once a day some sharp (jalapeño to ghost pepper)! the first half of our three-week European journey consisted of incredible Dutch, Polish and German food. halfway away I needed hot spices!Zapata's has not many traditional Tex Mexican or Mexican options, instead they offer a European note. my man loved every single option, but I just wanted to have a bean cheese currito with queso and salsa. This was not on the menu, but the waiter who spoke above average English could understand when I explained on the basis of my English menu that I only wanted to drill and cheese in a tortilla with grated cheese so melted). she was able to tell the chef what I wanted, and they came close enough to what I wanted to impress me. they also had jalapeños for me to eat and something salsa, which was surprisingly not just tomato sauce! lol thanks to zapatas I think that I can create the second half of this trip without having to find my sharp eating! oh! and they even called me a taxi because they had nowhere near wlan. great, friendly service. Sorry, I forgot to make a photo earlier, but it was too nice not to dig in! they can see on the picture that my bean cheese burrito consisted with whole kidney beans, but the salsa, sour cream, guarole jalapeños made it exactly what my taste buds needed.
