On the Half Shell - MURRELLS INLET

Shells and mussels... ingredients traditional, but simply brilliantly serene ...big service I could eat here every evening. but I have to return home Local Bar scene... Love

My father-in-law and I enjoyed excellent James River oysters on the half shell, and I also chose the garlic clams that were tender and perfectly damped. My wife had a good sushi and my mother-in-law gave the garlic mussels high marks. We dined on an outside table and our server was friendly and helpful. The only off note in our meal was overcooked, unobtrusive bacon-wrapped scallops. Otherwise, On The Half Shell delivered completely on his promise of fresh seafood in a relaxed dining environment as far as we are concerned. Make sure you find out if you're in the area.

The food was not served, but the staff is what really saved this place. We would have gone right away, but the bartender was so tight and helpful we stayed and chatting just to tap the guy haha I think his name was Scott maybe? Younger guy. Even if they did not serve food, he offered us Oysters, but that is not what we were looking for, so decided not to have them.

Best Happy Hour! Amazing seafood choices at reasonable prices, food was great, and the staff and other... good selection of burgers, seafood and sushi... highly recommended!

Amazing experience! From the staff to the sushi, and from appetizers to entrees this is a great place! We're are in the area for the weekend and will plan on stopping here again before heading home.
