I was searching for a place to have lunch while my daughter was at a birthday party, and New Dragon was one of the few places that had dine-in seating available. They serve no-frills Chinese dishes in an American style at very reasonable prices for both lunch and dinner. The portions are quite large, so make sure to come with a big appetite or be prepared to take some leftovers home. The staff, although not the most... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about New Dragon:
The bartender took our order for two full meals promptly, but my friend and I were disappointed by the odor coming from the kitchen. The couple at the next table complained about the rude service and said they would not be returning. I have never had such a bad dining experience at any other restaurant. I recommend going to China Garden for better quality Chinese takeout instead. View all feedback.
This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. Everything was wrong. I ordered 2 combination plates and a order of Crab Rangoons. The Egg Foo Young combination plate was nasty with no taste and missing the egg roll. It came with three containers of gravy that I didn't ask for. The Beef and Broccoli had no flavor at all, it was bland. I wasted $43.00 on this meal.
We were disappointed when we left this restaurant. It used to be our favorite Chinese spot in the area for many years. The wonton soup, which used to be the best I ever had, was not good this time. Previously, the hand-made noodles and delicious miso-like broth were light and tasty. However, this time it was thick wontons in a salty chicken stock. I ordered Szechuan chicken but what I received was not even close to that. It was loaded with carrots and celery in a strange tomato base, lacking the authentic flavors of Szechuan chicken. The pork fried rice had no flavor and the egg roll was just filled with sloppy cabbage that was not edible. Although the restaurant looks nice with its new exterior and the service was good, it seems like they have made some cuts and are now cutting corners. Sadly, I won't be returning.
I absolutely loved this place! The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was amazing, and the restaurant was spotlessly clean.
New outdoor deck is nice. Best Chinese in Narragansett.
Good service, nice setup but not to be rude but the food was awful, the crab rangoons were okay- not a lot of crab in them. the chicken finger dish was dry and my eggroll had a hair in it? this place used to be really good but seems to be going downhill.
