What Nance ibarra I doesn't like about Palace Café:
The space on the 2nd floor was nice. Cocktail was weak. Moules Frites was disappointing-the mussels, although flavorful, were cooked to the size of raisins. Bananas Foster was very good. View all feedback.
Expected more, but was not satisfied. not enough cheese in brie appetizer was all baked and jam. the service was not equipped for an upscale restaurant. coffee was served without cream and sugar. when it was brought to the table, the coffee was cold. also ordered a coffee with frangelica, but got a coffee with frangelica with ice cream on the side. when the coffee was solid, it was cold. I saw server just abandoned and forgotten about us. the bill has to be reset. not sure if the waiter drank extra, which was a mistake, will not come back.
I love jazz brunch! we have a private serenade. the ambiente is beautiful and the service was great. eating was just okay, though I really enjoyed the crab cheese. I am always ready to go back, but will try some different foods.
We came for the jazzbrunch. eating was fantastic as always with the best cats in the city, and I could eat every day a piece of crab cheesecake. that's good, but we were very disappointed that we only heard 5 minutes of jazz music in the hour. it was a shame.
Eating is not what it was before. the contested fish was only average. the legendary white chocolate bread pudding was mehhh. the garnelen bisque was very tasty! cocktails were delish and nigel has taken care of us excellently.
The Jazz Brunch was exceptional! Great food, awesome Service!
